May Veg

The veg plot gets really busy in May. We added our cabbage recently. We have grown several types of cabbage family from seed including purple sprouting brocolli, black kale and purple sprouts.
We have also planted around 24 sweet corn plants behind the peas. I hope they are sheltered enough to establish but will then not cast too much shade over anything else.
The peas themselves are taller than any we have grown so far but need a net soon or the birds will enjoy them before we do.
The broad beans have not done as well as last year but we didn't plant any over Winter, whic hwas lucky as there was so much snow and frost.
